I can do one better. My grocery store had a huge BACK TO SCHOOL! banner hanging right above TONS of candy that was on sale.
Sick.
Ours had a Back To School bus (plastic) filled with soda and chips and lunchables!!!
Saw something like this is my Hannahford flyer. Heading said "Pack a Better Lunch Box" then listed uncrustables, snack size packs of Doritos and Oreos!
Better lunch box? HOW!?!?!
It kills me to see that people will actually buy all this crap for their kids and stuff it into their lunchbox. I can see having the pudding OR the snack packs.. but Coke and Life Savers, really?
That is just appalling! I had a doctor appointment today, and in the waiting room was a poster with lunchbox ideas for things like hummus roll-ups with shredded carrots ....
This is pretty sad.
However, people like you are helping to educate and motivate others to be healthier and to set that example for their children! Keep up the great work :)
yup, not a naturally grown product in the whole bunch! Even that brand of apple sauce I am pretty sure has HFCS in it (I think I checked...)
I am okay with applesauce as long as it is unsweetened, uncolored, no artificial flavors, etc.
I have made my own which is yummy but expensive!

Thanks so much to all of you for your great comments! I wish there was a way for us to start a revolution and change what the stores put on sale. I guess if we're not buying the current sale items that would send a message, but unfortunately I think there are less of us out there who AREN'T buying them than who are.
LOL, Target had a "back-to-school" section and in it was wine and champagne :) Think that's for parents to celebrate the kids being out of the house?
