YAY! Another Blog Award!
I am SO excited! I have just won another blog award! I would like to accept this "A Blog with Substance" award from Emily at Mommy Made Green. Thank you, THANK YOU! I cannot tell you how much receiving these awards has meant to me. It makes me feel so wonderful to know that someone out there is reading what I have to say! I am passionate about my subject matter and really have enjoyed meeting so many other bloggers. So heartfelt thanks to Emily, and to all of you who read my blog. Emily has a wonderful blog about green living. Please go and check it out! Very interesting stuff!
There are two rules for accepting this award. The first is that I have to sum up my blogging philosophy, motivation, and experience in 5 words:
Ooh boy, this is REALLY hard! I keep coming up with six words! Eat healthfully and consciously. There, that is five words. Really I would say, eat the way our great grandparents ate, but that is more than 5 words. Teaching families to lead healthier lifestyles starting in the kitchen, also more than 5 words. Cook with your kids, only four words.
The second is that I have the honor of giving this award to 10 other wonderful blogs. So here they are:
Congrats!! Wow, pretty soon Martha Stewart will be asking you on her show :) Or Rachael Ray, whichever one still has a show. Or Paula Dean. That's all I know of.
You are like super woman. I was just thinking that I barely have enough time to get through reading one blog because I don't have a lot of time because of the kids, and you seem to be able to do it all.
Thanks! I'm glad you like my blog. It's nice to know someone besides your relatives enjoys your blog :) I agree w/ the previous post though, how do you have time to cook from scratch, read blogs, and write blogs??
Thanks Cheri, but I am not Superwoman. Trust me. My house is a total mess all the time =). I have a system in place for meals, and so cooking really doesn't take all that much time. I find a little time while Daniel is doing his therapy and during nap time. But I do a majority of my blog reading and writing after Daniel has gone to bed. And trust me, I hate cleaning, so I usually do other things instead...which drives my husband nuts!
But the cooking from scratch usually takes less than 30 minutes and much of the time I prepare a bunch of stuff during the weekend and freeze it. That saves a lot of time.
Congratulations on all of your Awards! I'm so happy for you! It really does make you feel good to know that other people care about the heart and soul that you put into your blog.
I want to thank you again for extending that award to me! I feel the same way that you do and love that people actually care about what I have to say.
Many, many congratulations! And many, MANY thanks for the day brightener!!! Long day taking a loved one to the ER and an ultimate admit; this was wonderful to come home to ... :)
